Zellie Wells has a devastating crush on Avery Adams, the son of her mom’s high school sweetheart. At her sixteenth birthday party, held in the basement of her dad’s church, she finally finds the courage to talk to him. Turns out, the devastating crush is mutual.
As Avery takes her hand and leads her out onto the makeshift dance floor, Zellie is overwhelmed by her first vision of his death; shocking because not only are they both covered in his blood, but they’re old, like thirty-five, and she is pregnant.
Afraid to tell anyone about the vision, (she’d just be labeled a freaky black magic witch, right?) Zellie keeps the knowledge of Avery’s future to herself and tries to act like any other teenager in love. When they get caught on their way to a secret rendezvous by her mom and his dad, they are forbidden to see each other.
Convinced that their parents are freaking out unnecessarily, Avery and Zellie vow to be together no matter what. They continue their relationship in secret until Zellie learns that their parents are just trying to prevent her and Avery from suffering like they did. The visions are hereditary, they’re dangerous, and if they stay together the visions will come true.
Now Zellie must choose between severing all ties with Avery, like her mom did to prevent his father’s death, and finding a way to change Avery’s future.

Couple weeks ago I received author's Found (Penny Black, #1) book from NetGalley, which is spin-off series for this Zellie Wells trilogy. I loved Found so much that I wanted to read this "main" series too. And it hasn't been a disappointment. I read the first and second book (more of that later in another post) right away and now I'm reading the third one. I like author's writing style and I'm definally going to read more of her work while I'm waiting on second book in Penny Black series that will be published hopefully soon. (The publishing date isn't set, but I can wait. I just hope that it will be soon)
There were lot of things that were old news to me 'cos I'd read Found already. The supernatural thing and Zellie's power were familiar to me, even if Zellie ferself was a bit lost. That was the downside of things when I'd already read the spin-off. There were lot of exploring of Zellie's powers and visions in this book, and what they are and mean etc. and I already knew that. But that was my own fault, I should've read this series first. So I can look in the mirror if I want someone to blame.
But it was really great to read where it all began, because in Found, the time has past over 15 years and things are pretty different. The was really well written and the story and idea behind it is really interesting.
Zellie and Avery are really likable characters and I couldn't help, but to love them both. And the ackwardness between them and they mutual crush was just great. It was so funny to read. The plotting was great and the story progressed nicely. I really like author's writing style.

The book is well written, characters are great and the story is good. But still.. I just didn't click for me. There wasn't really anything wrong and the story got better minute by minute, but still it didn't "compel" me, like usually happens with really great books. I think that I'm pretty obsessive reader and usually I read the whole book in one sitting. This took me few days and it wasn't really difficult to part with this book. Even when I needed to pause in a middle of a scene. Something was missing. Normally I would've read this book even if that woudl've ment no good night sleep. But not this time. Not with this book.
The story was interesting, even if there wasn't really anything new to the werewolves. But it wasn't the problem. I've read so many werewolf-books that it's usually wonder if there something new. That the downside being really compulsive reader, new points of view are pretty rare.
Bryn as a character was great. She was witty and strong and all that. She had answer to everything and she was funny. But isn't it always so.
I don't really know what to say about this book. It was well written, gharacters were smart and the story was good and well thought. There just was something that didn't compel to me. But still I would recommend it to others. There wasn't anything wrong, so maybe it was just me. Maybe it was missing romance, there were hardly any romance. Maybe that was the thing that I was missing. I don't know.

Teenager Alice Bonham's life feels crazy after she meets Jack. With his fondness for pink Chuck Taylors and New Wave, he's unlike anyone she knows. Then she meets his brother, Peter. Even though he can't stand the sight of her, she's drawn to him. Falling for two guys isn't even the worst of her problems. Jack and Peter are vampires, and Alice finds herself caught between love and her own blood.

The book was great. It was well written and the characters were great. But I just hate that every time the heroine it just too dumb to realise the truth. Ok, I propably wouldn't believe in vampires at first either, but there were so many clues and still she didn't figure it out. Aaagh... She never even thought about it.
I love Alice, but I'm not sure about the love triangle between Alice, Jack and Peter. Right now I don't like Peter at all, but maybe that will change. I hope not. I hate when there are love triange and I love all the characters. Someone end up alone in the end. I just hate it. And right now I hope that Alice will end up with Jack and Peter can go to hell. But I have this bad feeling, that that's not going to happen. Well, I just need to read the next book and hope for the best.
This was great start for this series, I'm completely hooked. Well done! :D
